CEOP Ambassador Course

Duration: Full day. Cost: £199 (VAT inclusive)

Course Aims

The CEOP Ambassador course is a 'train the trainer' course delivered by the CEOP Education Team. On completion of the course, delegates will become CEOP Ambassadors and will gain access to the bespoke Thinkuknow Introduction Course, as well as the online Ambassador Community within this site.

The CEOP Ambassador course includes an in-depth look at:

  • How children and young people use the internet and mobile technology
  • The nature of online offending against children and young people
  • How offenders use the online environment
  • Risk taking behaviour of young people online
  • Educational and organisational responses and policy in this area

Delegates should be aware that child sexual exploitation and abuse will be discussed in detail throughout the course, and would advise that anyone with personal experiences of this to consider the possible impact before attending.

All delegates attending the CEOP Ambassador course must present photographic ID at event registration for verification purposes. Acceptable forms of photographic ID are a passport, driver’s licence or work ID.

Additionally, we ask delegates to provide a letter from their employer on headed paper, signed by a manager stating:

  • The delegate’s role and length of employment period/association with the organisation they are representing;
  • The relevance of the training to the delegate’s role;
  • How the delegate intends to apply the knowledge gained;
  • Confirmation that the organisation has undertaken necessary risk assessment that the delegate is suitable to work with children and young people.

This evidence must be supplied at event registration when attending the CEOP Ambassador course.

Those attending the CEOP Ambassador course as independent consultants (i.e. those not employed by, affiliated with or representing a specific organisation) must provide evidence of their eligibility to attend. Please provide a letter including the criteria stated above, and:

  • A reference, with referee contact details, from a reputable organisation working directly or strategically with children, that they have worked with during the past 12 months.

The letter and additional information must be submitted to CEOP at least two weeks prior to the CEOP Ambassador course. Please send this information to

Law enforcement officers (i.e. NCA Officers, police officers and those employed by a police service) do not need to provide this letter. Please present your police work ID or Warrant Card at Event Registration.
