Reporting to CEOP video

What is it?

A short video for secondary-aged young people that explores the CEOP Safety Centre and its reporting form.

It highlights:

  • why children and young people make a report, outlining the remit of NCA CEOP
  • the reporting process
  • what to expect once they have made a report

How should it be used?

The video can be shared with young people when delivering face-to-face sessions in your education setting or through an online learning platform. This video is not for use on social media.

When delivering the video, it is important to highlight that the CEOP Safety Centre is designed for children and young people who feel they have no one they can talk to. With this in mind, please use this as an opportunity to explain your own school safeguarding processes and to discuss the importance of identifying trusted adults.

When sharing with colleagues, make sure they are aware that they do not need to report online sexual abuse and grooming to NCA CEOP. If you work for a statutory organisation, such as a school, please follow your schools safeguarding procedures.
