No matter who has messaged you remember it’s always ok not to reply.

If any message ever makes you feel uncomfortable or worried, it's safest not to message back and to tell an adult you trust, like a family member, a teacher or a carer. They can help you block and report the person who is messaging you. Blocking means that the person won't be able to message you any more.

Remember, whatever has happened, it's not your fault and a trusted adult can help you.

It’s always safer to chat online to people you know in real life. Sometimes when we're gaming or chatting online it can feel as if we know someone because they also game and chat to our friends. But online, you never know who someone really is.

If someone is trying to pressure you into sending a message, picture or video, don't reply and get help from an adult you trust.

Being bullied online can feel horrible. You don’t have to go through it alone. Talk to someone you trust like a parent, carer, or an adult at school. Childline can also help: you can call them on 0800 1111 or message them here.

Remember, whatever has happened, it's not your fault and a trusted adult can help you.

People you don't know can watch your videos if they are not set to 'Private'. It can feel worrying or upsetting to get comments from strangers. You may feel they are trying to get you to do say or do something that makes you feel uncomfortable.

When you're live streaming it's safest not to reply to comments from people you don't know.

If a comment makes you feel worried or uncomfortable, or if you think someone is trying to get you to do something you don't want to do, it's important to tell an adult you trust, like a parent, carer or teacher. They can help you to block and report the person who is bothering you.

It's safest to change the settings on your live stream to 'Private' so that only your real friends and family can see it. If you need help with this, ask an adult you trust.

Don't worry. This sort of thing happens a lot and the important thing is that you're trying to make things better. Get help by telling an adult you trust. They can help you to delete the photo from the app or website, and ask anyone else who has it to delete it. They can also make sure your friend is ok and has the help they need.

Whenever you're sharing photos or videos online, remember to think about how someone might feel if they are in it. Always ask them first, and if they say no, listen to them and respect their wishes.

Sometimes people share photos or videos that upset or embarrass other people, and this is a kind of bullying. If someone has shared an upsetting photo or video of you or someone you know, tell an adult you trust and they will be able to help.

Lots of people send videos and photos to their friends, and get sent things to watch too. Often these are funny or interesting, but sometimes they might make you feel uncomfortable, worried or scared.

If you see something that makes you feel bad, it’s always best to stop watching, close the app or message, and tell someone who can help. This person should be an adult you trust like a teacher or someone who looks after you.
